Mission
To foster cooperation among all parties in Virginia with an interest or stake in prescribed fire; for the purposes of optimizing burning opportunities for the benefit of natural ecosystems and wildlife, and to reduce the risk of damage from wildfires.

You can play a key role in keeping prescribed fire as a management tool in our state by becoming a member. Membership is open to any individual, organization, or agency interested in utilizing or promoting the safe use of prescribed fire as a land management tool. Members are encouraged to attend annual meetings, participate on Steering Committee Teams, and take advantage of training opportunities.
